How you can help us?
Kesho Alliance recommends programs which help people in extreme need or are in urgent need of funds.
A COLLABORATIVE APPROACH TO IMPACT
We know that transforming violent extremism cannot occur without strengthening community resilience and engaging all members of society.
Barriers to the girl child education will not be fully removed until we address negative gender norms and support the girls child. We know that youth marginalization cannot be curbed without job creation and access to leadership roles.
We know that stories and narratives that envision a world of equality and address community issues ignite change. By addressing challenges in these key impact areas, we co-create exponential impact and support locally-driven, lasting change with sour community partners and donors.
Peace Building and Reconstructing Extremism
We pride in an innovative adaptive community engagement, behavior change and positive youth development.
This is designed to build community resilience, transform conflict dynamics, and empower the voices, visions, and assets of conflict-affected communities in Garissa.
Our programs aim at building community
resilience to violent extremism by transforming the dialogue around community issues and catalyzing residents, local leaders, and the local security sector guided by the UN Resolution 2250.
Education and Leadership
We fosters public engagement as a means of promoting education to improve livelihoods among the pastoral/Nomadic communities in our focus area.
To achieve this goal, we guide individuals and resident groups through a series of transformative trainings, incentivize education and connecting them with opportunities for education support.
We bring together relevant stakeholders civil society, traditional leaders, elected representatives, local governments, public service providers, and law enforcement agencies to define sustainable governance solutions through multi-stakeholder dialogue.
Championing Youth, Children and Women Empowerment
Gender equality is a vital accelerator to achieving sustainable development.
We approach gender equality through a mainstreaming framework by applying a gender lens to all program designs.
We position women and youth to lead through capacity building and by fostering an environment of inclusion ensuring women, girls and youth have a seat at the table in government, and peace and security initiatives.
