Community reselience and economic empowerment through agriculture we help ASAL communities use the resources they have around to make a living out of it. .
ASAL areas cover 80 percent of Kenya’s land mass. Most of the pastoral nomadic communities shy away from agriculture because they do not see it as an opportunity for sustained livelihood. Through Greenstalls, we aim at opening up counties to trade with each other. With the help of our existing relationship with Garissa County Government,we shall directly link farmers with a ready market by connecting them through trade. A Lot of milk products do not reach the aimed market .Our goal is to strengthen the trade among countries.
With partnership with Hikma Foundation and a learning room for us, we have helped set up an apiary in Balambala, Kuno in Garissa Sub county with the aim of empowering the community with resources. The program is set to benefit the rest of the remaining six sub counties.
